Our cycle-tours in Southern Dalmatia, which is the smallest and most sparsely populated region of Croatia, will take us past unique little towns and the beautiful island countryside

1st day (Sat) Trogir (Embarkation) – Split

    Trogir harbour

Individual arrival by car to Trogir or by plane to Split airport, which is about 3 mi./ 5 km away from the harbor of Trogir. After check in on the motor yacht between 2 and 2:30 pm the first short cruise starts about 3 pm from Trogir to Split. There we can go on a walk through the old town of Split, which is built adjoining the famous palace of the Roman Caesar Diocletian and is a world heritage site.

    2nd day (Sun) Cetina Canyon (Cycle route approx. 19 mi./ 30 km or 27 mi./ 43 km)

    cyclists in Southern Dalmatia

After breakfast we cycle through the valley of the Cetina River which is surrounded by steep rocks. After 12,5 mi./ 20 km we have the choice to take part on a four hours rafting tour on the Cetina River and afterwards a small cycle tour of about 6,2 mi./ 10 km back to the boat - or to expand the cycling tour to 27 mi./ 43 km along small side roads and versatile landscapes until reaching Omiš and its pirate castles. In the afternoon cruise to the island of Brač  with a bathing stop. Brač  is famous for its shining white marble which was also used for the White House and the Reichstag in Berlin.

3rd day (Mon) Brač Island (Cycle route approx. 14 mi./22 km)

    old town of Korcula

Today's route starts in Pučišća with a long but moderate ascent to the mountain ridge of the island past mulberry, kiwi and fig trees, olive groves and vineyards. The following descent to Bol rewards us for our earlier climb with an amazing panoramic view of the neighboring island Hvar. In the afternoon the ship awaits us to cruise to Korčula town where we have time to take an exciting walk though the wonderful old town with its narrow “fishbone like” alleys.

4th day (Tues) Korčula Island (Cycle route approx. 30 mi./ 48 km)

    Pupnat bay on Korcula Island
Today we discover the island of Korčula by bicycle. The calmness and remoteness of the vast vegetation and cypress gardens have given the shape to the probably most beautiful Dalmatian island. At first we cycle along the coast and close to Pupnat we reach after an accent the pass road over the amazing Pupnat bay. Later we find the village of Blato, like Rome build on seven hills. Today's destination is Prigradica.

5th day (Wed) Islands of Vis and Hvar (cycle route approx. 19 mi./32 km)

    fig tree

Vis is the furthermost island from mainland Croatia. A Greek colony called Issa has been on the island 2.300 years ago. Due to its strategic location it was a military zone until 1995 and prohibited for foreign tourists. Today we have the opportunity to explore the lovely island by bicycle. After cycling the boat takes us to the Island of Hvar where we visit the magnificent Renaissance square and enjoy the view from the Spanish Fortress which is situated high above the city.

    6th day (Thurs) Hvar Island (Cycle route approx. 12,5 + 15 mi./20 + 25 km)

    Lavender Island of Hvar

Today’s first cycle tour leads us along the almost traffic free pass road through nicely set small villages. After lunch in Stari Grad we do a second cycle tour to the quaint harbors of Jelsa and Vrboska which invite us to an extended break. We return to Stari Grad, which has become a Mecca for artists and art lovers in the past few years, for our overnight stay.

7th day (Fri) Šolta Island (Cycle route approx. 12 mi./19 km)

After crossing over to Stomorska on the island of Šolta we commence our last cycle tour. Walled fields, numerous olive groves, locust bean and fig trees line the roads. The herb smells of lavender and rosemary accompanies us along our tour through this island. We load the bikes onto the ship in Maslinica and enjoy our last crossing back to Trogir where, if time permits, we can take a tour of the old town which is a world heritage site. The last evening aboard our ship follows a nice tradition. While enjoying the communal dinner in a cosy atmosphere you will have the chance for a last get-together with your crew and your tour guides.

    8th day (Sat) Trogir (Disembarkation)

    Market Place in Croatia

After breakfast disembarkation until 9 am and individual trip home or extended stay in Dalmatia/Croatia.

    General Information

    Itinerary Changes
We reserve the right to make changes to the planned itinerary due to changing wind and weather conditions as well as organizational requirements. Sometimes the tour could be conducted in reverse order. You may find further details in your booking information packet.

    Requirements (level 2 - 3)
The cycle tours require a basic level of fitness from participants, which they should have acquired from steady cycling. The tours will take us up to a height of 200 to 500 m above sea-level. The day-tours from 12 mi. to 31 mi. (20 to 50 km) will take us through hilly and mountainous terrain and will be completed without any time-constraints. Participants will also need to master long and steep climbs, during which they are, however, also permitted to push their bicycles. We traverse mostly asphalted roads, which are rarely traveled on outside the holiday seasons. You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend on board the boat, instead of taking a planned cycle tour. Each day you can either decide to cycle alone, using the information and maps provided, or join one of our tour guides or other participants. Helmet use is mandatory on all cycle tours. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own (well-fitted) helmet. Rental helmets are available in limited numbers (reservation requested).

    Bringing Children
We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the cycle tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1.20 m (4 ft.).  There is a helmet duty for all children up to age 16 in Croatia.

The cook on board is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and two warm meals a day. The full board starts with the dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.
